PEACE DAY 2021

PEACE DAY - PRIMARY SCHOOL OF PSIHIKO - GREECE

Aristophanes,a comedy play writer, wrote a comedy called EIRENE(PEACE) back in 421 BC referring to the evil results of war to the people.

So the students in our school searched information about him ,and about some more Nobel Prize winners.

Finally we created a kite and a large "picture" with doves carrying the photos of the nobel prize winners .

The children enjoyed every moment of the whole project!

Peace Day in Poland

 In January we celebrated Peace Day as part of our Erasmus + project activities. The youngest students made some drawings connected with the topic of peace, while the older ones - during on-line lessons - took part in a virtual lesson.

Peace Day in Ares and Palermo

We celebrate Peace Day learning a lot about people who have built a better World.

This is our interview with Biago Conte, a missionary from Palermo.

We create differents trees, medals, superheros and peace walls.

Also, we have been inspirated listening some special songs, for exemple: One Day and Over the Rainbow. 

And our Kite of Peace have flown through Ares sky!

We are so happy because along this month we have received almost all postcards from our Erasmus+ friends.

Saint Andrews' Day in Ares

Children in the early childhood and primary education have learned a lot about Saint Andrews' Day in relation to Halloween and Samain, as different festivities that have some conections, for example: the date.

Wheat is the typical cereal that is planted in this period, so they have lived the experience, as you can see in this video:

Secundary students have made a deep investigation about Saint Andrews's Festivity, in Romania and also here.
