Dear friends, in Romania, we are celebrating springtime by „mărțișor” from 1 to 9 of March.
This tradition is a very old one in our country and becomes a UNESCO monument in 2017.
So, the tradition is to offer small gifts, amulets, which represent spring flowers, or luck symbols like chimney sweeper, horseshoe, four-leaf clover.
For our Erasmus+ project, we made a contest for „mărțișor” mail cards. The students from fine arts participated and, in the end, we made a virtual exhibition on Facebook . You can see it here.
