An article by a Polish participant about our transnational meeting in Spain

Transnational project meeting in  Spain.
On November 23 2019, 4 students from Rudna Wielka, from the eighth grade, together with our headmistress, Małgorzata Mazepa and our English teacher - Joanna Wiśniewska - went to wonderful Spain as part of Erasmus. After the long and tiring journey, we spent the night in Santiago de Compostela.

On the first day, when the whole group came together, we went to Monte do Gonzo hill, where we saw a monument built in honour of John Paul II. Next, we went to the city centre where we visited the cathedral which was in renovation, but still very beautiful. Then came the most anticipated part of the day – we met our host families. After a warm welcome everyone went to new homes.
The next day we started with an official welcome in a local school. In one of the classes, every country got a special present – a seashell of St. Jacob. We also took part in an event about crimes committed because of gender inequality. Next, we were shown around the school. After that, we took part in dance and art workshops.

On the third day, we went to Betanzos where we visited CIEC Foundation. Next, we saw the historic city centre – Igrexa de San Francisco and Igrexa de Santa Maria do Azogue. Our next plans were cancelled because of the storm, so we spent this time with host families
The fourth day started with some school activities, at the same time teachers chose the best logo of the project. In the afternoon we went to Ferrol where we saw amazing graffiti on some buildings. Our next goal was the Museum of Natural History. We learned so many interesting things!

The next day we spent in Coruña where we visited the aquarium and saw interesting fish and very cute seals. Next, we went to Domus – the Spanish equivalent of our Copernicus Centre. One of our students turned out to be the most relaxed person of us all.
On the last day, we visited Santa Catalina monastery. After this trip, we took part in festivities because of Galician holiday – Magosto. We tried some cooked chestnuts and churros with chocolate. We danced a traditional Galician dance with our new Spanish friends. An award was presented for the winners of the logo competition, which turned out to be Italy. Congratulations!
Unfortunately, it was time to say goodbye, but we hope that we will see each other as soon as possible!
